First try with a vintage manual focus film camera lens
Yesterday I went on my first photo walk meetup. I’ve decided to challenge myself and bring my vintage Olympus Zuiko 50mm f1.8 lens with me and attempt manual focusing and pretty much manual everything on my X-Pro3. While it was a challenge in the beginning, once I got the hang of it – which I haven’t fully – I got more comfortable. It even sparked a confidence in me to photograph strangers in a new way.
Aside from that, the X-Pro3 with the invisible LCD really helped me focus on photographing and not checking the result of each shot until I got back home. It was quite liberating, and a strange, satisfactory feeling to see how many of the shots were in acceptable focus. I’m very excited to getting out and keep on shooting some more with this great, but imperfect manual focus lens.
