Creative Documentary

The goal of creative documentary photography is to present real-life subjects and situations in a visually captivating and thought-provoking manner that encourages viewers to engage with the story or message behind the image. As an LGBTQ+ activist and advocate, I have made a point to capture the annual Pride March in New York City for over a decade. Through my work, I strive to celebrate the strength and diversity of our community while also amplifying our messages to raise awareness in the pursuit of social justice. It is an honor to contribute to the legacy of the Pride movement and to hopefully inspire others to join in the fight for a more just and inclusive world.

Street Photography

As an urban photographer who spent the initial half of my life in Istanbul (and my adult life in New York City) - my central focus was to capture the city's diversity and pulse through the lens of street photography; highlighting its rich and unique energy. I strive to convey the spirit of the city with each click of my camera, illuminating aspects of urban life that might surprise and change the viewer.

An introverted child of the 80s

Yup, that’s me. I’ve been fascinated by American pop-culture since my childhood in a third-world nation, and I remain a devoted 80s pop-kid at heart.

After two decades of exploring New York City with a tiny camera and earbuds, I’ve started a new chapter in St. Pete. While the skyline has changed, the soundtrack hasn’t—I’m still blasting Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, and Erasure while I wander.

Having just turned 50, my life has taken on a new rhythm. I’m trading some of that solitude for connection, filling my calendar with Toastmasters and local community events as I navigate the journey from lifelong introvert to budding ambivert.

My photography is the visual diary of this transition. It’s how I step out from behind the lens to engage with the world—capturing the quiet, unpolished moments of life, and finally learning to share the stories behind them.
